Asad Jafri – Youth Coordinator
Asad Jafri is IMAN's Youth Coordinator and also plays an integral role in the development of IMAN's Arts and Culture programming. He has been a volunteer with IMAN in various roles since 2003 and brings ten years of experience in youth work and development to this position. Asad has also been dedicated to causes of social justice and human rights for many years and has been blessed enough to support causes across the globe.
As an artist and organizer, Asad serves as Midwest Regional Director for the Hip Hop Congress, a non-profit grassroots network that seeks to empower, educate, and unite individuals through Hip Hop culture. Under the moniker, Man-o-Wax, he is a DJ with the Universal Zulu Nation and a founding member of F.E.W Collective, an all-elements, Hip Hop ensemble. Through this work, Asad hopes to combine traditional forms of music, dance, story telling and visual art with elements of Hip Hop and theater to inspire social change.
