What began in 2005 as a collaborative effort between local community members and various Muslim food drives has grown into a fully stocked weekly Food Pantry that serves hundreds of individuals each month. The food pantry quickly evolved into something that brought many volunteers and local community residents together to serve and work on behalf of many people within of the New City area. In light of the Muslim tradition’s emphasis on feeding the community, the Food Pantry provides an avenue to assist those who need to supplement their food supply.

IMAN’s Food Pantry is open for food distribution on Sundays and appointments and drop-off services are also available to those in need. We serve people regardless of religious, ethnic or political affiliation. Participants are often referred to additional community resources to meet the variety of needs they may have in addition to food
