Dynamic presentation and expression of the arts have been integral to IMAN’s work of organizing for social change and fostering health and wellness in the inner city since our inception. IMAN Arts & Culture supports the creation, collaboration and presentation of community-engaged art.
The Beloved Community Ceramic Studio is an arts space on IMAN’s campus which hosts a number of free or low-cost ceramics classes and community engagements led by local artists.
The city’s first permanent memorial commemorating Dr. King and the Chicago Freedom Movement’s presence and impact in Marquette Park and the Chicagoland area.
