On Saturday, December 5th join friends, families and supporters in celebrating an unprecedented year of IMAN’s work.
Institutions like IMAN were built for these very moments — but even so, the ability to strengthen and continue this work amid the onslaught of new challenges and roadblocks relies on the continual prayers and support of each and every one of you.
Our Special Guest
We are excited to host a timely conversation between IMAN’s Executive Director Rami Nashashibi, and Ms. Sol Flores, Deputy Governor of Illinois who presides over the Department of Health and Human Services, the largest department in state government. Given how many families and organizations have relied on state support during this public health crisis, and Ms. Flores’s own pioneering community development background, we look forward to her joining us on site at IMAN for this important moment, as we reflect on what this year has meant for us and for all of our communities.
Sol Flores serves as Deputy Governor in the Pritzker administration overseeing Health and Human Services. Flores is the founding Executive Director of La Casa Norte, a non-profit organization established in 2002 that has served more than 30,000 youth and families confronting homelessness. She built La Casa Norte from two employees to an 80+ employee, multi-million-dollar organization that delivers inspiration, hope and critical services to the lives of youth and families experiencing homelessness.
Flores has served on numerous working groups, commissions and local nonprofit boards as a tireless advocate. Flores was raised by a single mother who came to Chicago from Puerto Rico and has been recognized as a national Champion of Change for her work by the Obama White House.

Can’t make it to the event?
You can still help us reach our goal this year!
