Binta is the Arts & Culture Administrative Coordinator for IMAN. She aids the Arts & Culture team by administering program and logistics including hospitality and communication needs. Prior to working at IMAN Binta worked in the Development Department at the Latin school of Chicago.
Binta is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. An ever-evolvingstudent, Binta studied Psychology and Sociology at Illinois State University and earned her Masters degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management with a specialization in Special Event management at Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL. She is an American Muslim Civic Leadership Fellow, creative, diversity and inclusion advocate, and 1st generation daughter to Senegalese and Gambian parents. Binta is also the founder of Internal Archives, an online platform that empowers millennials of color to embrace their cultural identities. Binta geeks out on Marvel comics and Harry Potter.
